Everyone should have a resume, even high-school and college students like you. It’s the story of you and what you can bring to the table for a potential employer, for an internship, for a volunteer program or, if you are a high school student, to your potential next education endeavor. It gives a snapshot of your achievements, talents, and interests. And, it’s a great way to showcase what you have done during your school years and how those things can contribute.
The main components you should think about including are :
- Your contact information
- A quick summary of who you are and what your are looking for
- Listing of all your experience to date, by date, by program or job
- Achievements to date
- The skills you have built for yourself to date like specific computer programs or business skills
- References
Potential employers look for consistency of effort, effort and commitment throughout all the things you have done.
